Vertical Farming

More food in less space

Vertical Farming

Vertical what?

Indoor vertical farming is a growing technique where you make sure to use the height of the space in order to get bigger harvests. We for example, grow in trays stacked on top of each other in a big shelf-like structure.

In this way, we get lots of food even in smaller spaces. That is why vertical farming is a good alternative for unused spaces in urban areas - exactly like our underground farm deep down in the caves of Liljeholmen, in central Stockholm.

Since we grow below ground, we replace the sun (and the absence of sun) with LED lights. We also don't use any soil. Instead, we use a hydroponic system that saves us 90% in water use compared to outdoor farming. Actually, the water we loose is going right into the plant you eat. Yum!

Vertical Farm

No soil and no pesticides. Here, our plants sit in a floating raft, heading for the journey of their lives.

Focused on flavours

With our tailor made recipes on light, air flow and nutrients, there's nothing stopping our plants to show what they were truly meant to be. Tasteful.

Short transports

Since we grow where people live we avoid long-distance transports. To us, it seems unnecessary to import leafy greens from south of Europe when we can grow our own close to home.

No Pesticides

We grow in a completely closed system so there is no use for pesticides or other protective substances. It is just so much nicer to skip using chemicals on things we are going to eat.

Fresh and crispy

We harvest when the plants are at their absolute best. And we work hard to make sure our greens reach the stores in no time. Because let’s admit - greens does taste best when they are super fresh. Going down to your local store should be like taking a stroll in your own garden.

all year around

Underneath our wonderful city there is no bad weather, no dry seasons or heavy winds. This gives us a constant harvest of high quality greens all year round.
